No overlocker is worth having unless it uses the differential feeding system to provide a beautiful flat finish. The Hobbylock 2.0 has differential feed built-in and ready to use on any type of material, by changing the ratio of the differential feed unit you can obtain the perfect setting according to the fabric. Turning a dial is all that is needed to adjust this feed ratio. You can then stretch the fabric to make frills or ruffles on bedding. Alternatively, set the feed ratio the opposite way to sew stretchy materials. Stretchy fabric is normally difficult to sew flat, using this overlocker the differential feed on the Hobbylock 2.0 allows you to achieve perfectly flat seam edges, every time.
An overlocker will never replace a sewing machine. A overlocker like the Hobbylock 2.0 does make your sewing quicker, what would normally take two operations using a sewing machine would take one action using an overlocker.
The Hobbylock 2.0 offers 15 stitch programs a host of other features and at speeds upto 1300 stitches per minute. Use 2, 3 or 4 threads depending on the function and fabric you are sewing. Like a sewing machine both the length and width of stitch can be adjusted. Use the cutter to trim or is can be disengaged. The machine also can be used to sew a rolled hem without any additional extras.
When threading use the built-in instruction guide to follow the coloured threading paths. The presser foot can be raised to accommodate several layers and heavy fabrics. The electronic foot gives greater speed control when stitching fast or slow, the needle piercing and cutting power always remain constant.
